SHOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR HAIR COLOR TO MATCH THE SEASON?

First and foremost, we often get asked if it’s necessary to color your hair according to weather changes. Our answer is an emphatic YES! Just as you swap those strappy opened toes for booties, you most definitely should warm up hair tones to compliment the cooler season.

This applies to all shades of hair color, but especially to blondes! Talk with your colorist about the appropriate shade to mix into your current color to give your hair that sweater-weather-latte-in-leather-gloved-hand vibe. Too far with the fall cliches? Yeah sorry, but you get it now don’t you?!

YES! BUT…

Even with all of this said, if you prefer platinum year ‘round — you do you baby boo. Nobody puts baby in a lowlight… er a corner.

WHAT’S CUTTING IT FOR 2020

We can tell you about 11ty billion things not “cutting it” for 2020, but since this is a hair blog we will stick with the correct angle of the intended pun and talk about Fall 2020 haircut trends.

BANGS

Proceed. With. Caution.

Baby bangs are popping up everywhere in Hollywood right now, but unless you’re Halle Berry or are in need of a social experiment in how to gracefully handle fake compliments, pump the breaks.

Now curtain bangs on the other hand might be just the spice your overgrown Covid hair needs. This is a great choice for a low-key change up without a whole lot of commitment.

FRINGE

Loving this wispy, tousled look for any hair length! Channel your inner Brigette Bardot (we all have one) and go for it! This compliments most face shapes, and your stylist will shoot you straight whether this is the right look for you. In addition to fringe lengths and layers around the face, you will see lots of variations on the tried and true shag.

MAY WE BE BLUNT?

Lol. As if we would ask.

Back to that overgrown Covid hair… a nice blunt bob might be just the ticket to shake the 2020s off as we head into a new season. Blunt collar bone length and jaw-length bobs dominated the runway and give off that I’m a boss and we both know it look to take it (whatever it may be) to the next level.

Which trend are you most excited to try?
